Cold Weather Hits Central Texas

The start of December may mean the start of the cold weather in central Texas. Meteorologist Bob Rose with the Lower Colorado River Authority says he doesn't expect snow in Austin proper, but some of the outlying areas may experience sleet or even snow.

Because of the cold conditions, the Salvation Army is expecting more people to stay in the organization's shelter facilities.
